Excerpt from SMS Study
These are some pretty powerful numbers!!
"Ashley Furniture HomeStore provides another example of SMS
effectiveness when compared with email. The chain held a
four-day Secret Sale that was only promoted by email and SMS.
After subtracting the discounts from coupons, Ashley Furniture
HomeStore sold $122 dollars of merchandise for every dollar
spent on SMS and $76 for every dollar spent on email."

Mobile Media Going Crazy!
WOW! I am just so excited about the prospects of Mobile Media! I walked into a (now new client!) yesterday. I shared with him what Mobile can do for his business. After an example and short demonstration he said, "Where do I sign up? How many of these do you sell a day? It has to be a lot!" People and businesses are starting to understand the power behind the iZigg platform! How can a business or organization communicate with all of its customers in seconds in a cost effective manner? That is what we have. The power of the list is incredible! No matter what you are promoting, the list you build will increase the traffic to your front door or website or wherever you want !! Truly incredible!
Here is how the City of East Peoria is using it to communicate to its residents!

Mobile is Here & Now!! From Mobile Commerce Daily
Mobile consumers ahead of marketers
The second takeaway is that the year of mobile is now and not starting in mobile this very day is just a flawed strategy.
Customers are ahead of companies with the adoption of mobile into everyday lives and there is an expectation of customers that companies have a mobile presence. About 20 percent of consumers nationwide are currently accessing the mobile Web, not to mention the many more engaging in text activity.
We all remember the 2009 Retail Holiday Season Shopper Study which found in December 2009 that 51 percent of shoppers overall used their mobile phones for in-store shopping-related activities during the holiday season.
How can a brand doing business in December 2010 not have mobile firmly embedded in its marketing and commerce strategy?
Mobile commerce is now just another channel of commerce and the year of mobile is really here and now.

Here are some interesting statistics from Mobile Commerce Daily:
The smartphone market is booming, and will likely surpass the desktop and laptop PC markets in the next two years.
In 2010, desktop and notebook PC sales will combine for an estimated 350 million shipments, compared to about 250 smartphone shipments.
However, smartphones are expected to account for nearly 500 million shipments in 2012, leapfrogging desktops and laptops.
In addition, mobile Internet users will surpass desktop Internet users in 2014.
“From a global perspective, there will be an inflection point by the end of 2012,” Mr. Davis said. “By 2013, more smartphones will ship than desktop and laptop computers.
“The inflection point is going to be sooner than people maybe think,” he said. “Your thought process should be ‘I have to get in the game now.”
